What: Vons, a Safeway company, will host a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on its newest store, located at Washington and Dove Streets in Mission Hills.  The new store is a long-awaited project for the communities of Mission Hills and Hillcrest.  After a number of proposals over many years, plans for a new store were approved in late 2010.
