UPDATE (2/10/2011): Well the construction obviously hasn't started on this yet - what's up City of San Diego? Anyone know what the deal is? If so shoot us an email or please comment!

The concrete median on Washington St between San Diego Ave and India St, is going to be updated with drought tolerant landscaping and a new sign pilaster to match the ones on Sunset Blvd.  The new entryway has been a longtime project of the Mission Hills Town Council and Mission Hills Business Improvement District.  Thanks to profits from the Mission Hills Farmer's Market that the MH BID receives, funding is now available for water and maintenance.  The city has given the approval and funding for construction, which should start in December 2010. It will be a beautiful addition to our neighborhood and help define our southern border with its vibrant restaurant district on and around India St.
