Yu opened her first restaurant, the Saffron Thai Grilled Chicken carry-out shop, in 1985 and she added the dine-in Saffron Noodles and Saté in 2002. Both the dine-in and carry-out locations offer a full menu selection from both restaurants. Delicious dishes focus on fresh ingredients and healthy preparation, for food that truly nourishes the body. In additon to menu staples such as the succulent grilled chicked and tasty noodles, Saffron offers a number of daily specials including curry dishes and salads. In season, don't miss out on the mango with sweet sticky rice, a beloved Bangkok dessert.
Saffron features seasonal specialties, such as pumpkin dishes for fall and cranberry chutney at the holidays. In spring, the Thai New Year celebration of Songkran is marked with special menus and festivities throughout the week. Saffron recently began hosting a weekend Street Food Market on the first Saturday of each month, featuring favorite dishes inspired by the street vendors of Bangkok.
