Garden Tours

The Mission Hills Garden Club puts on an annual Garden Club Walk, held on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. It is their major fundraiser for the year and is a great way to get gardening inspiration from some of the many wonderful private gardens of Mission Hills. See our calendar for more information on this year's Garden Club Walk.

Halloween

Mission Hills gets into the Haloween spirit each year with elaborate decorations throughout the neighborhood.  Front yards transform into eerie cemetaries while ghosts, goblins and spiders swing down from the rooftops.  On the big night, the streets come alive with hundreds of trick-or-treaters eager to show off their clever costumes.  While the delighted shreiks of children echo throughout the neighborhood, Sunset boulevard in particular sees streams of families out celebrating this spooky holiday.

4th of July

Mission Hills 4th of July paradeThe Mission Hills Town Council puts on an annual 4th of July celebration in Mission Hills with a neighborhood parade that ends up in Pioneer Park.  The party continues with games for the kids and live music throughout the afternoon as families picnic in the grass.  It is a great way to celebrate the holiday with your neighbors.  At night, residents head to the various neighborhood vista points to watch the fireworks light up the bay.  This year there will be a BBQ Competition during the 4th of July Celebration and Mission Hills Town Council members will get to enjoy free BBQ.  Click here for more details on the BBQ Competition.
